La Busattina Toscana RosatoIn the southernmost part of Tuscany in San Martino between Mount Amiata and the sea, the Falcione family has been reviving their abandoned farm since 1990, using organic principles and eventually biodynamic, becoming Demeter certified a few years later. The family owns 4.5 hectares planted only to local varieties, and their unique, high-elevation location allows for natural ventilation, making low-intervention, holistic farming according to biodynamic standards possible.
Emilio Falcione’s biodynamic haven high up in the mountains, far from civilization, teems with life – geese, bees, donkeys, horses, cows, goats, and one very large dog all doing their part to keep the equilibrium of the azienda. The wines have an historic feel to them – timeless – as if they could have been made in much the same way by his Etruscan ancestors.

Le debit d’Ivresse ‘L’appat du grain’ redLuc Devot was a cook for 7 years, a fisherman for 3 years, musician, animator, educator. He had many lives before becoming a winemaker. He worked his first harvest with Jean-Louis Tribouley, who introduced Luc to natural wines. In the years that followed, many winemakers settled with similar cultivation and vinification methods. Driven by this momentum, and after training with Loïc Roure from Domaine du possible, he became a volunteer at the “La remise” wine fair. Although Luc had often worked in the vineyard, the three years spent at Philipe Wies winery (Domaine de la petite baigneuse) made him realise the reality of the profession to be a winegrower. Luc’s very first vinification was in 2017 and now he works with 4 hectares of vines. All wines are
unfiltered, unfined, with tiny amount of added sulfites.
